About Us

Dedicated Emergency Care for Aiken's Equine Community

Hitchcock Equine Emergency provides dedicated after-hours and emergency care for horses throughout the Aiken community. From colic and lacerations to foaling complications and other urgent conditions, we deliver prompt, compassionate, and experienced care when every minute counts.

We work exclusively in emergency medicine and partner closely with your primary veterinarian to ensure seamless communication and continuity of care. Hitchcock Equine Emergency is NOT intended to replace your relationship with a primary veterinarian, rather to supplement their on-call availability and relieve the burden of constant on-call hours.  Our commitment is simple: to provide exceptional emergency care for Aiken’s equestrian community while supporting the veterinarians who care for your horse every day.

Meet the Vet

Dr. Kenne Lott is a lifelong equestrian and CSRA native. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) prior to moving to New York. While in NY, she completed a prestigious rotating internship at Rhinebeck Equine, a large referral practice with a heavy emergency caseload. She returned to Aiken, SC with her husband, Dr. Jacob Lott, prior to opening Hitchcock Equine Emergency in 2026.

When she is not working, Dr. Lott enjoys spending time with her border collie mix, Oliver, and her horse Levi. She is looking forward to returning to the South and never shoveling snow ever again.

Our Services

Hitchcock Equine Emergency exclusively provides emergency services in Aiken and surrounding counties.

Colic

Rapid on-farm evaluation of colic symptoms is essential and potentially life-saving.

Eye Injuries and Concerns

Eye injuries and concerns are ALWAYS an emergency. Saving vision can be a matter of timely intervention.

Lacerations/ Traumatic Wounds

Wound assessment and care can help ensure that no important structures are affected. Suturing can often lead to a more cosmetic outcome in the long term.

These are just a few examples of emergencies that we would be happy to assist you with.
